Is the COVAL token currently (specifically) in the roadmap for the Mission-R effort?

  • The short answer is no, not specifically defined well enough to talk about in any public way. The Mission-R project was intended to use the Emblem Blockchain to back up and verify the data in the ecosystem; that is, all transactions recorded by the SMARTClinic’s RFID asset tracking and warehouse management system would be stored on a blockchain to gain the security and auditability features that blockchain promises. That was the original purpose of our 6-week Mission-R proposed work, and that part is done.
  • Conversations with some local hospitals to *use* that system are ongoing. As you can imagine, they are a bit busy.
  • Separately, the SMARTClinic team has had some very preliminary discussions with a hospital that would like to tokenize health and behavioral data, and who knows what that could look like.

What are you trying to do to increase the liquidity of the coval token?

  • Well, constantly talking about Coval does not seem to be doing the job. Here is a quick list of our current thoughts:
  • We’ve had some discussions with a market maker company. We spent a few weeks doing deep research into the legalities of this in the US, and what the difference between wash trading and market making was. A service is ultimately rather expensive, thousands of dollars a month, and The Codes aren’t swimming in that kind of money right now, so … ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ We have dabbled in writing our own market maker bot, but it’s difficult to make this our number 1 priority.
  • We are currently working on development of software with a partner, and we have some loose plans for Coval’s utility within that platform once it is released.
  • We are currently investigating Defi opportunities and liquidity pools.

Will SmartClinic use COVAL tokens in any way?

  • See #1, just above

Will you consider transferring ownership of COVAL to another entity/persons?

  • Are you offering?
  • The short answer is that it is “owned” by all who hodl it :)
  • The other short answer is sure, if it made sense to both the Emblem Company and to the Coval community. I currently can’t think of any situations that could fit that bill, but who knows? If you have a proposal, by all means, send it our way.

Will you decide if/when you consider the token Dead, so holders can (psychologically) move on?

  • I am pretty sure I have answered this before, but let me reiterate our thoughts.
  • Nothing that any of us are doing is holding *anyone* back from psychologically moving on. Any person or entity who wants to cash out (or not, honestly) and move on is welcome to. This team cannot decide for you personally when it is time for you to stop thinking about this token/project. That can only be answered by you.
  • I don’t know what it would mean for Shannon to call this token “dead”. This man will be developing until he takes his last breath. While technology will continue to change over time, the Coval project and Emblem Vault will drive his (and this team’s) direction for the foreseeable future.

What’s your 30 second elevator pitch for COVAL? (30 seconds, no more. I gotta get off on the next floor.)

  • This is covered in previous AMAs and will be updated on our website as soon as we have our messaging solid (clear, concise, etc). We have always struggled with the fact that we modify each “elevator pitch” to suit the specific audience we are speaking to. As a result, there is not just 1 (for Coval, for Emblem Vault, for the Emblem App, for blockchain in general, etc).

How is the adoption of CloudRunner coming along?

  • Our soft launch has been smooth. We have seen an uptick in the industry of interest in low-code/no-code tools, such as the new Amazon tool, Honeycode.
  • Given all of that, the next set of steps involves blasting out and marketing to as wide of an audience as possible, and we have a specific plan toward getting there. We needed first to be sure that our process for deploying new instances of CloudRunner was solid, we needed to be sure that those instances stayed up and ran uninterrupted over time, we needed to update our messaging (including the CR “elevator pitch”), and we needed to update the overall Emblem/CircuitBuilder/CR web site. We are currently working on the messaging and the web site.
  • In the mean time, we continue to use CloudRunner to develop services for our partners. It is by far our favorite tool.

What are the technical details behind CloudRunner?

  • Uhhh, that question could be asking one of several things. I’ll take a stab at what I think is most likely.
  • CloudRunner is a javascript-based tool that lives inside of a Docker container that is deployed on Google Cloud Platform. Each deployment is a separate Docker container, ensuring nobody’s instances can get mixed up in any other ones.
  • Lmk if that wasn’t what you were asking.

Can we pay for CloudRunner with COVAL?

  • Today, not officially. But yes, totally. Contact us to find out how.
  • The reason I say it that way is that we do not have an automated payment processor yet that can take Coval (and be legal and legit and official and tracked on the company books, etc), but we can do it manually for the early adopters who want to.

Will you declare COVAL dead?

  • Check out my answer up there in #5.

How much longer will you be able to sustain this project if no revenue starts to pour in ? Do you have an exit strategy ?

  • Part of this is answered in #5.
  • The rest … well, it pretty much looks like this: the project can technically be sustained even if the remaining team members have to get “day jobs” to pay the bills. That sucks, obviously.
  • Emblem has spun out into its own company. There are a few projects in the works that will provide either revenue, or investment money (or both, technically). In the mean time, UNspecified has a little bit of money to support team members and company spending until revenue itself takes over.
  • And no, no exit strategy. All 3 remaining team members are all in still on some evolution of what has spun out of Coval and Emblem Vault being our end game.

How is the Crypto logic (balance / receive / send) implemented by Emblem Vault ?

  • Right now, it’s not.

Has the paid version of CB got the attention you were hoping for ?

  • See #7 above.

Are there any plans to add value to Coval in the upcoming Emblem eco system schedule?

  • Yep. That was spoken about ad nauseum in the previous AMA releases earlier this year. We’ll be able to say more, and more specifically, in upcoming releases of product and partnerships.

When developers update?

  • When and as we have releasable information. Oh, wait, and this AMA.

Does Emblem do an ICO?

  • Absolutely not.
  • Other types of sales are not out of the question.

The supply of MBTS is huge, why?

When will Emblem become open source?

  • ?? I don’t know that it will. Over time, as we see opportunities for open source projects or parts of projects, we will definitely release them for that. Probably not before we have enough revenue to pay a dedicated support team.

Are there 3 developers of Emblem?

  • Currently, there are 2 developers and 1 business development person.

When bittrex again?

  • When it makes sense. Right now, Coval just does not have the trading volume to drive adding it to more exchanges. Want it on Bittrex? Trade. Get the volume up. Or wait for the future plans to drive volume.

When 150sat

  • When moon.

Why is Coval still a Untracked Listing on coinmarketcap.com?

  • Not enough volume.

What are the benefits of holding Coval when Emblem will be active?

  • Coval will be utilized in the Emblem ecosystem as the most discounted way to pay for all of the activities within the system. I don’t have any specific updates on this over what was discussed in the previous AMA releases.
